*One more season for *One Tree Hill

Let's see where do I begin? This particular blog is dedicated to my all time favorite show in the world, One Tree Hill.  I've been a fan since season one back in 2003, I was a junior in high school and none the less so were the characters. But that's not the reason why I grew so attached to the show. At first I thought it was going to be another "teen drama" and I was so wrong! From the first episode I was hooked. It wasn't just another teen show, this was different, I felt it. I could relate to each of the characters in a different way and that's what made me love the show even more. It didn't seem so artificial, it seemed quite real.

The show is based in Tree Hill, NC where two half brothers (Lucas and Nathan) who share the same jerk of a father and go to the same school and enjoy the love of basketball.  Dan Scott (their father) was straight out of high school when he found out his h.s. sweetheart, Karen was carrying his child, Lucas. He abandoned them and moved forward with his scholarship to play basketball, which also is the love of his life.  Later in college he meets someone else, gets her pregnant and then has Nathan. Two brothers, same town, only a few months apart, same love of the game.  One thing that is crystal clear though, they can't stand each other.

Throughout the seasons the two brothers grew from hate to love. Love triangles, car accidents, two dead moms, school shooting, pregnancy scares, fights, heart breaking, marriage, children, disappointments, prison, billion dollar clothing company, drug addicted moms, single parents, basketball championship, psycho stalker, heart conditions, people always leaving, tragedies, true love always, best friends, forever and always, art, record label, sex tape, unloving parents, book publishing, rock tour, loneliness, surprises, kidnapping nanny, cheating, lying, loving friends, supporting community and one heck of a coach is best I can describe One Tree Hill.

I and many, many others were sadly disappointed when Lucas and Peyton's characters were written off the show, apparently due to "budget cuts."  They were in seasons 1-6, in the very last episode of season 6 they drove off in Peyton's classic Mercury Comet with their daughter, Sawyer. The show didn't feel the same without Leyton, but I continued to watch it regardless. I just love this show. Anytime I'm in a bad mood or feeling out of it, I know if I start watching all the seasons (which I own thank you very much) again I'll be good as new.  They did add a few more characters, Julian who played Peyton's ex boyfriend from LA continued to be throughout the seasons and eventually married Brooke.  Haley's sister, Quinn is added to the cast and falls for Nathan's agent, Clay. Several of the familiar faces continued to be in the show, but not as much as before. Now having only one more episode to finish off its 8th season, Nathan and Haley had their second child, a little girl named Lydia after Haley's mother who passed away. Brooke and Julian had been trying to conceive for a very long time and after the doctors told her she couldn't have any children, pretty much broke all of us OTH fans. We all know Brooke would be an amazing mom. Luckily though she found a young girl who didn't want to keep her child and would give it up for adoption for the couple. Unfortunately, two episodes ago we saw that once the young girl held her child and had the support of her boyfriend, that she would keep the baby. Completely shattering Julian and Brooke's hearts and ours too =\

On a lighter note, today's episode revealed that Brooke (accidently) found out that she was actually......PREGNANT!!! Tears, excitement, joy and smiles was all I had! Like I said, Brooke would be a great mother. That leaves us to the last episode next week, I'm hoping it won't leave me hanging till September with horrific news on the characters.  I recently read that possibly Peyton and Lucas' characters could be brought back to the last season, just for one last good bye. Everyone is on board with season 9, only pitiful part is that Nathan's character will be part-time on the show. Well either way, I can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming season, I've been a fan for 8 years and from all articles I've read, it looks like we're in for a great series finale, sadly.

Below I put together a few of very detailed and memorable moments and quotes from One Tree Hill, enjoy!

She Found Her Prince Charming

And Lived *Happily Ever After

On April, 29  2011 (almost) every soul was preparing to watch the marriage of adored Prince William to Catherine (Kate) Middleton.  There were two questions constantly being asked, "Will Kate's dress out do Diana's?" and "Who will Kate be wearing?" on this monumental day.  We all waited anxiously and some of us actually stayed up to watch the Royal Wedding in the wee hours of the morning.

Unfortunately, I didn't stay up late, but all thanks to DVR I watched it in the late afternoon on the 29th.  As everyone else was talking about the wedding all day, I was so excited to see the future Princess' dress. Well- my mouth dropped as soon as I saw her. Absolutely stunning! Her loose curled half-up do hairstyle, subtle yet sophisticated make up, a beautiful, magnificent, intricate Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton-it was all just so perfect. I loved the lace on her! Lace to me is always so grown up and sexy.  I know "sexy" isn't the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to the Royal fam, but hey it's 2011 someone has got to spice things up a little bit!

Very pleased that Catherine (Kate) chose not to rock a long train.  Yes it is lovely and all, but she has to represent her style, her taste, after all it is her wedding day, princess or not.  Her 10-foot train was the right decision- well in my opinion. Lightly detailed embroidery at the bottom of her McQueen gown, gentle laced v-neck and sleeves, simple veil, an antique yet *borrowed 1936 Cartier 'halo' tiara from Queen Elizabeth herself (that was gifted to Elizabeth on her18th birthday!), enchanting tear-drop diamond earrings (a gift from Kate's parents), her satin shoes with hand embroidered lace which was also handmade by a talented group at McQueen, and natural nails perfected the stunning, flawless dare I say "commoner" *princess bride.

Ladies and Gents, this is a great example of how an ordinary girl turned into a princess does indeed exist. We all have our soul mates out there, its just in a matter of the right time and the right place to bestow upon that individual and start our own fairytale some day.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge drove off in the groom's father's gorgeous classic 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante convertible that had the appropriate and customary plate that read, "JU5T WED."

Catherine also had each of her bridesmaid's names embroidered inside their dresses and the date of the wedding- how adorable and memorable is that!

I saved this for last, but definitely not least. I was admirable of Catherine's precise and thorough flower arrangements.  Although they are not particularly something I would have chosen, but I fell in love with the meanings of them and how divine it truly was, it completed her elegant, simplistic, and charming attire.

Flowers the bride chose and its meanings:
Lily-of-the-valley- Return of happiness
Sweet William- Gallantry
Hyacinth- Constancy of love
Ivy- Fidelity; marriage; wedded love; friendship; affection
Myrtle: the emblem of marriage; love.
