She Found Her Prince Charming

And Lived *Happily Ever After

On April, 29  2011 (almost) every soul was preparing to watch the marriage of adored Prince William to Catherine (Kate) Middleton.  There were two questions constantly being asked, "Will Kate's dress out do Diana's?" and "Who will Kate be wearing?" on this monumental day.  We all waited anxiously and some of us actually stayed up to watch the Royal Wedding in the wee hours of the morning.

Unfortunately, I didn't stay up late, but all thanks to DVR I watched it in the late afternoon on the 29th.  As everyone else was talking about the wedding all day, I was so excited to see the future Princess' dress. Well- my mouth dropped as soon as I saw her. Absolutely stunning! Her loose curled half-up do hairstyle, subtle yet sophisticated make up, a beautiful, magnificent, intricate Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton-it was all just so perfect. I loved the lace on her! Lace to me is always so grown up and sexy.  I know "sexy" isn't the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to the Royal fam, but hey it's 2011 someone has got to spice things up a little bit!

Very pleased that Catherine (Kate) chose not to rock a long train.  Yes it is lovely and all, but she has to represent her style, her taste, after all it is her wedding day, princess or not.  Her 10-foot train was the right decision- well in my opinion. Lightly detailed embroidery at the bottom of her McQueen gown, gentle laced v-neck and sleeves, simple veil, an antique yet *borrowed 1936 Cartier 'halo' tiara from Queen Elizabeth herself (that was gifted to Elizabeth on her18th birthday!), enchanting tear-drop diamond earrings (a gift from Kate's parents), her satin shoes with hand embroidered lace which was also handmade by a talented group at McQueen, and natural nails perfected the stunning, flawless dare I say "commoner" *princess bride.

Ladies and Gents, this is a great example of how an ordinary girl turned into a princess does indeed exist. We all have our soul mates out there, its just in a matter of the right time and the right place to bestow upon that individual and start our own fairytale some day.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge drove off in the groom's father's gorgeous classic 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante convertible that had the appropriate and customary plate that read, "JU5T WED."

Catherine also had each of her bridesmaid's names embroidered inside their dresses and the date of the wedding- how adorable and memorable is that!

I saved this for last, but definitely not least. I was admirable of Catherine's precise and thorough flower arrangements.  Although they are not particularly something I would have chosen, but I fell in love with the meanings of them and how divine it truly was, it completed her elegant, simplistic, and charming attire.

Flowers the bride chose and its meanings:
Lily-of-the-valley- Return of happiness
Sweet William- Gallantry
Hyacinth- Constancy of love
Ivy- Fidelity; marriage; wedded love; friendship; affection
Myrtle: the emblem of marriage; love.

J to the LO

People Magazine's Most *Beautiful Woman In The World 2011*

                                               Dance The Night Away~~

Puerto Rican blood, Bronx native, Jennifer Lopez (famously nick named J-Lo) danced her way to the top for over ten years, literally.  She started her career in the early 90's as a "fly girl" on Living Color and quickly making her way through the acting scene on television series.  She hit the "big time" when she portrayed the role of one of the most renowned female Latina singers in Selena.  Several box office hits, #1 albums, music videos, clothing line, fragrance line, a few fiance's/husbands, motherhood, and here we are to 2011 where she is currently a judge on American Idol.

She's modeled for countless fashion designers (in which I and many others fancy to one day be able to rock the impeccable couture) such as Versace, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Michael Kors, and last, but surely not least Chanel.  She is an entertainer, a talent, a mother, wife, giver, fashionista, an entrepreneur, an idol, a superstar, and of course a true *diva.  She knows what she wants, what she's got and inevitably knows how to let the world know.

* Below are some of my favorite artsy photos of the fashionista ;)
